As part of Zona Maco Art Week, Lagos is pleased to announce its participation with the OPEN Lagos program. 

The main intention of OPEN Lagos is to create an open space in every way: a space open to the general public as well as to art professionals, a space open to dialogue, encounters and expanding complicities and new possibilities in times of pandemic.

PROGRAM:

OPEN Studios - The essence is to share the creative processes of our artists in residency, where visitors will be able to meet them in their studios / Mario García Torres (MX), Luis Carrera-Maul (MX-DE), Pietro Pasolini (IT), Luia Corsini (IT-USA), Joao Rietman (BR), Guilen Errecalde (MX) & Cuco (ESP).

MET(à)LOGOS - Solo exhibition by Luis Carrera-Maul, curated by olgaMargarita Dávila, focuses on the resignification of post-pictorial objects, as witnesses of a reality in constant transformation process. The artist's research revolves around memory and painting.

OPEN Stage - The performance “TRAZOS PARA CELLO” by Galia Eibenschutz and the cellist Natalia Pérez Turner, is a dialogue of live improvisation, where the action of drawing occupies an important role, being the graphic trace of this process and allowing us to delineate between the spatial limits the body in movement and the music.

OPEN Screen - The video installation “OPEN ROOMS” by Andrés Klimek is based on an experimental film made in 2016 that will be intervened by the artist himself in a deconstruction process throughout the week.
