Mexico City
With spacious architecture and a location close to the Historic Center and just minutes from Polanco—where the Tamayo Museum, the Jumex Museum, among others, are located—lagos | CDMX is situated in a semi-industrial complex from the mid-20th century, in the central-east heart of the exciting Mexico City.
The Residency Program offers a unique opportunity to develop a solid creative process. With the support of our team and the guidance of our chief curator, olgaMargarita dávila, the artist will achieve greater depth in both their conceptual process and material and intentional aspects of their work. olgaMargarita has extensive experience working closely with artists, guiding them toward a deeper dimension of their practice and helping them reach their goals.
Our residency program is open to artists and curators working in any artistic medium (visual, sound, digital, or performance). Residents have the opportunity to join the Lagos platform for the promotion and commercialization of their work. Our residency program is offered in two modalities: A) International, B) Global South. The first is for artists from Europe, the USA, Japan, and China. The second is aimed at artists from Mexico, Latin America, and the continents of Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
Aware of the art system and its global operation, we want to offer an accessible opportunity for artists born and/or residing in Latin America, as well as for artists from anywhere in Mexico and the mentioned continents.
The LAGOS community is optimal for developing personal strategies through dialogue and enriching encounters with established colleagues.

A Portfolio presentation will be held at the beginning of each stay and an OPEN STUDIO at the end of each residency, both attended by the Lagos community and special guests such as artists and curators.
