Alan Sierra

Alan Sierra (Sonora, Mexico, 1990) is an artist who also works as a writer, curator, and educator for various initiatives. His work includes drawings, sculptures, texts, and live actions that aim to stretch the narrative possibilities of the image. In 2019, he published Nonverbal, his first book of drawings, edited by Gato Negro. He was part of the SOMA Educational Program from 2019 to 2021 and pursued graduate studies at the Institute Art Gender Nature in Basel, Switzerland. Some of his recent exhibitions include the solo show Vísperas at La Capella, Barcelona (2022), and the group exhibitions Who Tells a Tale Adds a Tale (2021) at the Denver Art Museum, and Omissíssimo at Galeria Cavalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2020).
