Andrea Bustillos Duhart

Andrea Bustillos Duhart is a leading Mexican curator and researcher in contemporary art, whose practice is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach that links art history with cultural management, education and the analysis of institutional archives. She holds a degree in Art History and has complemented her critical perspective with advanced studies in the management of large-scale cultural projects.

Her curatorial approach is not limited to the exhibition of objects, but extends to the creation of dialogues between the works and the socio-political context in which they are situated, prioritising mediation processes that bring contemporary art closer to diverse audiences.

Her main areas of research include: The relationship between art and education: Understanding curatorship as a pedagogical tool capable of fostering critical thinking; Systems of artistic production: Analysing how institutions and the market shape the narratives of contemporary art; and Transdisciplinary collaboration: Promoting projects where architecture, literature and the visual arts converge to create immersive experiences.
