Luia Corsini is an Italian-American artist, born in New York (1994). She currently lives between Malibu, California, and Mexico City. She studied Fine Arts at the New York University. Notions linked to nature circulate in Luia Corsini's work, materialized through vibrant colors and, more recently, through the research she has carried out in Mexico, El Salvador and Los Angeles on natural dyes. In her painting, geometric figures intersect in the same way a “grid” would do, a word which Corsini use to name her body of work. Approaching a spiritual and somatic treatment of color and geometry, Corsini is interested in exploring the categories of beauty and nature in her artistic production.
