Olga Margarita Dávila is a relational artist who works as a curator, manager, educator, and art writer. For 30 years, she has brought visibility to the work of hundreds of artists—especially women—through exhibitions, publications, symposiums, dialogues, and pedagogical processes. Her practice focuses on fostering and promoting reflection on contemporary art through doing, grounded in a holistic, transversal, feminist, and collaborative perspective. She has worked on independent projects and served as a public official in the Ministries of Culture of Coahuila and Baja California.
She has received awards and honors such as the PAC and FONCA Co-investments. She has published texts in catalogues for artists including Luis Carrera-Maul, Irma Sofía Poeter, Diana Coca, and Mónica Castillo, and has authored books such as Archivo Vivo, Mujeres Artistas de Baja California (Living Archive, Women Artists of Baja California, in collaboration with Patricia Medellín and Daril Fortis) and Sin Título -arte contemporáneo desde Oaxaca- (Untitled -contemporary art from Oaxaca-).
Currently, in addition to serving as the chief curator at lagos | estudios y residencias, she is co-leading a research project with Jacinto Astiazaran on the artist Daniela Gallois (France 1939–Mexico 2006) and developing the Labrar Saberes Pedagogical Program in Ciudad Juárez with Azul Arena.
